Dr. Childs is an amazing doctor. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt his compassion. He is personable and takes the time to listen to his patients. What truly sets him apart is his genuine consideration of my needs and feelings—I never felt like just another patient, but rather a person whose concerns matter.
His compassionate approach and attentive manner made me feel comfortable and valued throughout my visit. I highly recommend Dr. Childs to anyone looking for pelvic pain doctor who truly listens and puts their patients first.

Alabama Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Pain
I just recently had pelvic reconstruction surgery on quite a few things down there by Dr. Parnell that I've been fighting for help on for 2 decades from other Drs. It's no secret that women's healthcare is subpar in the medical community. I didn't exactly have high hopes when waiting to meet him at my 1st appt, but considering the pain I've been in for half of my life, i figured he couldn't make it any worse.
At the risk of sounding what my kids would call "cringey", i could hear the sunshine in his voice before he even opened my door. His demeanor puts you at such ease, & he has confidence in his abilities, not arrogance. He actually gave me hope & did not disappoint. I'm only 41 & have been robbed of so much of my life due to pain, restrictions, & even incontinence (of both) & I've been given my life back. The worst part of recovery is having to rest.
Due to issues during childbirth, i had lost most of my feeling, as well, & I've even regained that. I didn't exactly follow Dr orders & had to go in for an early checkup to make sure i didn't mess anything up, & instead of shaming me, or talking to me like a child, he laughed w/me & went back over some things. I also have major allergies, including alpha gal and instead of acting like i was a nuisance or burden before the surgery, he and some of his staff reassured me. His staff at his office is super sweet, as well.
It's all been a totally different experience than what I've experienced other places & it's been a pleasant surprise. I already have several friends asking about my surgery bc they've been needing it done, too, so i will be sending them his way!
